The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description
My grandmother was bedridden for over twenty years with a form of arthritis that inflamed and infected her joints. In spite of her limitations, she kept busy creating amazing works of fiber art - quilts, tablecloths, bedspreads, and more. Two years ago, I began a project of photographing Grandma's beautiful quilts and with the help of PS and a Wacom Intuos pen tablet, I have fine-tuned them into works of art. She passed away when I was only four, I'm happy to present her "busy hands" in a new format.

Fine art photographer & digital artist, inspired by the colors, patterns, and textures God weaves into nature. Before I took up art, I spent 30+ years working for both mainstream and inspirational publishers writing books, curriculum, greeting cards, columns (Newsday), and articles. My 21 years as a military wife fed my love for travel and adventure. We lived six years in Germany and in three regions of the U.S., eventually settling in the lush green Willamette Valley of Oregon.
