Artist's Description
My grandmother was disabled with crippling arthritis for most of her adult life, but that didn't stop her from creating beautiful quilts, bedspreads, and assorted gifts. I've meticulously photographed one of her vintage quilts (circa 1930), manipulated the photo, and and digitally painted it with a Wacom pen tablet.
About Bonnie Bruno
Welcome! I am a nature photographer and mixed media artist, inspired by the colors, patterns, and textures God wove into our amazing world. Before I took up art, I spent 30+ years working for both mainstream and inspirational publishers writing books, curriculum, Hallmark cards, columns (Newsday), and magazine articles. My 21 years as a military wife fed my love for travel and adventure. We lived six years in Germany and in three regions of the U.S., eventually settling in the lush green Willamette Valley of Oregon, which we have called Home for the past 33-plus years. Faith, family, and the great outdoors. Life is good and I feel very blessed! Visit my Instagram feed for...

Thanks, Jeff! I loved kaleidoscopes when I was a child, and you're right - the process is much like creating a kaleidoscope out of an original photo. I never know how it will turn out.
