Description
This local landmark in Halsey, Oregon was taken down in December, 2012, "the victim of age and a changing farm economy." It was built with old-growth Douglas fir in the 1930s and stood 180'. Built in log-cabin fashion, it had planks that began at the bottom at 12" wide, and tapered in width upward to 10", 8", and 6".
